Kinesiotape at the I.D. Clinic

Kinesiotape

What is kinesiotape? Kinesiology taping is a new way to treat some problems of the musculoskeletal system with the help of original plasters. The method of kinesiotaping is relatively young. It was developed by a Japanese physician, Kenzo Kase, at the end of the 20th century. Taping has been actively used by sports doctors for two decades (after the 1988 Olympics in Seoul), but this technology has recently begun to spread in our country.

The benefits of kinesiotape:

  • Ease of use.
  • Maintaining full mobility and maintaining an active lifestyle.
  • Use around the clock for 5 days.
  • An excellent combination with other physiotherapeutic methods - massage,
  • cryotherapy, electrical stimulation.
  • Minimum contraindications.
How long does the taping effect last?

Clinical data have shown that the best effect is observed immediately after

application of the patch. It lasts up to five days. All this time, the patch can not be removed.

Indications for the use of taping

Typically, taping is used by athletes during increased load to correct biomechanics. The taping during rehabilitation after trauma or surgery gives an excellent effect.

Doctors recommend taping for the following problems:

  • headache;
  • epicondylitis;
  • sports injuries;
  • decrease in hematomas and edema;
  • back pain and swelling of the legs in pregnant women;
  • pain in the spine;
  • joint pain.
