One day surgery I.D.Clinic

One day surgery
Surgery is one of the most difficult areas in modern medicine, because the success of the operation largely depends on the knowledge, experience and firmness of the surgeon’s hand. That is why the highest demands are always placed on surgeons.
The modern level of development of medicine allows many surgical interventions to be performed under local anesthesia and without hospitalization of the patient. Thanks to this, the patient can return home after the operation to continue the treatment in the usual and comfortable conditions. This approach is called “one-day surgery” or minor outpatient surgery.
As part of ambulatory surgery, operations are performed to remove atheromas, lipomas, boils, sclerotherapy of veins of the lower extremities, endovascular laser coagulation of veins of the lower extremities. Treatment of burns, primary surgical treatment of wounds, surgical dressings, rehabilitation of wounds, application and removal of sutures are carried out. ID Clinic surgeons also remove the nail plate (ingrown nail), open an abscess or hematoma, remove external benign neoplasms, foreign bodies, molluscs, and ticks.
Minimally invasive operations for varicose veins of the lower extremities
The work of blood vessels directly depends on our lifestyle. Many factors affect our vascular system, arteries, capillaries, veins and lymphatic ducts. Deterioration of the anatomical condition and functions of blood vessels can occur due to specific working conditions, peculiarities of diet and lifestyle. Hereditary diseases manifest themselves at an early age, and acquired ones can develop for many reasons.
At I.D.Clinic, depending on the condition of the veins, the following types of varicose vein treatment can be performed – sclerotherapy and endoscopic laser coagulation.
In addition, we offer our patients a modern complex of physiotherapeutic treatment, which in some cases can be effective as an independent treatment, and always allows to improve and speed up the recovery process after surgical treatment.
To make a diagnosis, make an appointment for a consultation and tell the doctor about the discomfort and problems that bother you. Perhaps the smallest detail will help to find out and eliminate the cause of the disease. After the initial examination, the doctor will prescribe an instrumental diagnosis that will allow establishing the correct diagnosis and planning treatment tactics.
Removal of lipoma, atheroma
Atheroma occurs in the sebaceous gland duct. When the disease develops, inflammation begins, which eventually leads to suppuration. Most often, atheromas are located on the scalp, face, back, neck, and sometimes on the skin of the genitals.
The difference between lipoma is that it is a type of benign tumor. Lipoma consists of adipose tissue. It is most commonly found on the upper back, on the skin of the outer thighs and shoulders. Urgent lipoma removal is required if it starts to hurt or grows in size.
Lipomas and atheromas do not go away on their own. They require surgical intervention, and folk remedies are powerless in this case.
In I.D. Clinic, atheromas and lipomas are treated (removed) by radio wave removal or laser destruction.
As a rule, lipoma treatment and atheroma treatment are performed by excision with a radio wave knife, followed by tumor exfoliation, and laser treatment of the bed. Conventional or atraumatic sutures (depending on the patient’s wishes and the specific situation) are applied to the skin.
Abscess removal
Abscesses are purulent neoplasms in the body tissues caused by various pathogens of inflammatory processes. Abscess formation occurs as a result of various microbes entering through the wound surface, puncture, or abrasion. As a result, the tissues seem to melt and a purulent cavity appears. Also, the development of such a cavity is possible as a result of the formation of furuncles, carbuncles, phlegmon, lymphadenitis and as a result of hemorrhage into the tissue at the site where the hematoma was formed.
Necrectomy is the excision of dead tissue of various localizations.
It is an independent operation, as well as a part or one of the stages of surgical treatment of wounds. Most often, necrotized tissues occur as a result of burns, as well as trophic ulcers.
At the I.D. Clinic, you will be provided with high-quality professional assistance for any type of surgical pathology.
Treatment of acute paraproctitis
Paraproctitis is a not uncommon and very unpleasant problem characterized by purulent inflammation of the tissues around the rectum.
The source of the disease is considered to be an infection caused by staphylococci, streptococci, or E. coli. Once it gets to the outer tissue from the rectum, the infection penetrates the tissues through microtraumas and cracks.
Acute paraproctitis can occur as a result of poor personal hygiene, as well as due to untreated diseases of the anal passage (for example, hemorrhoids) or injuries in this area.
According to statistics, up to a quarter of patients’ visits to a proctologist are associated with suspected paraproctitis (inflammation of the rectal tissues). Patients of all ages suffer from this delicate area of the body. Often, the treatment of the disease is complicated due to lack of time: a person does not dare to consult a specialist, provoking further development of the disease (acute purulent paraproctitis).
Treatment of paraproctitis in any case involves surgical intervention.
Removal of an ingrown toenail
Ingrown toenails are a painful problem that affects many people, but they often don’t seek medical attention. Ingrown toenails are most common, and in advanced cases, the pain is so severe that the person begins to limp.
Nail ingrowth or onychocryptosis is easy to suspect by the following signs
redness around the nail roller;
swelling and soreness (especially when pressed) of the skin around the nail; suppuration;
overgrowth of tissues near the nail.
If the patient experiences severe pain and the ingrown nail is festering, the disease is advanced and treatment can only be surgical. In most cases, the ingrown part of the nail and the sprouting zone of the nail plate are removed, which not only eliminates the problem but also prevents relapses. In particularly severe cases, with extensive fungal infection, it is possible to remove the entire nail plate.
If the patient visits a doctor in time, at the first symptoms of ingrown nail, conservative treatment is possible, including removing the corner of the nail from the nail roller, prescribing baths, bandages with antibacterial ointments and wearing open shoes.
In the I.D. Clinic, ingrown nail removal is performed surgically. The operation does not require general anesthesia and is performed under local anesthesia.
