Treatment of infertility
Embryo freezing
A successful IVF cycle can result in multiple embryos. In such situations, we have the opportunity to offer our patients to freeze these "extra" embryos.
What possibilities does the embryo cryopreservation method offer?
- ensures reliable and safe preservation of embryos not used in this IVF cycle;
- makes it possible to transport embryos;
- reduces the risks of multiple pregnancy. One embryo is used for implantation, and the remaining ones are frozen and stored;
- the delayed stage of embryo transfer allows the woman to recover after ovarian stimulation, which increases the chances of pregnancy;
- provides an opportunity for embryo donation and surrogate motherhood.
In the future, the fate of the frozen embryos is determined by the biological parents. They can take them for another attempt at artificial insemination, give orders for disposal, or give consent to use them in an embryo donation (donation) program for other infertile couples.
