Facial cleansing
I will make an appointment for facial cleaning, everything seems to be clear and easy and it starts here: what kind of cleaning do you need, to clean only black dots or remove comedones, etc...
There are patients who are annoyed by such questions, but they are important and I will explain why!
It takes time to perform a high-quality procedure. Each facial cleansing is a separate technique, accordingly, the time consumption is different.
What kind of facial cleansing method the patient needs, the frequency and number of procedures is determined individually by the doctor. Let's consider the types, indications, contraindications, and especially recommendations from the doctor of the I.D.Clinic medical center.
Facial cleansing is a cosmetology care procedure aimed at cleaning the surface of the epidermis and pores from keratinized cells, open and closed comedones, milia and excess sebum.
Types of cleaning:
- atraumatic - suitable for all skin types, helps to make the skin silky, tender and clean, after it there is no rehabilitation period and redness. It is treated with the help of special means aimed at cleaning, moisturizing, nourishing and restoring the skin.
- ultrasonic - hardware procedure, non-traumatic and absolutely painless. It is performed using a special ultrasonic scrubber. During the procedure under the influence of ultrasound, the skin is cleansed of blockages and comedones, keratinized cells, sebum (sebum) are removed.
- mechanical - performed manually (by hand) and with the help of special tools, which allows you to more deeply cleanse the skin of excess keratinized cells, sebum, open and closed comedones and milia.
- combined - includes several methods of exposure to the skin, to achieve a better effect, usually it is a combination of manual and ultrasonic cleaning. Such cleaning allows you to take into account all the features of the skin and deeply clean some areas of the skin and carefully process others.
When is it necessary to clean the face:
- oily or combination skin type
- open comedones
- closed comedones
- sebaceous plugs
- miliums
- dilated pores
- hyperkeratosis (excessive keratinization of the skin)
- prevention of inflammatory elements (papules, pustules)
- to reduce ``purging'' of the skin (this is a temporary reaction to certain active components, which manifests itself in the form of an increase in the number of rashes) - before starting topical or systemic acne treatment, before introducing active ingredients into care
There are also contraindications:
- ARVI (increased body temperature, runny nose, cough, sore throat)
- active herpesvirus infection
- violation of the integrity of the skin (cuts and wounds) in the area of the procedure, fresh tan
- severe forms of acne (III-IV stage);
- chronic skin diseases in the stage of exacerbation
- high blood pressure, blood diseases, taking anticoagulants;
- tendency to the formation of keloid scars;
- diabetes in the stage of decompensation;
- oncology of any localization.
Our recommendations after the procedure:
- do not touch your face with your hands;
- do not use decorative cosmetics on the same day;
- it is necessary to change the bed linen (pillowcase) to a clean one;
- be sure to treat the phone with an antiseptic;
- 2-3 days after cleaning, do not visit the bathhouse, swimming pool or gym;
- Do not use assets such as retinol and acids for 3-4 days;
- 7 days not to carry out other cosmetology procedures;
- it is not recommended to be in direct sunlight;
- it is necessary to use sunscreen;
- when peeling occurs (this is a normal reaction of the skin), in no case should you tear off the crusts yourself, because this can lead to the formation of scars or pigment spots. In this case, it is worth using moisturizing agents;
- when new rashes appear, do not squeeze them to avoid the spread of infection, it is better to use S0S-means;
- do not use face scrubs with abrasive particles;
- use home care that was selected by a cosmetologist;
The team of professionals of the I.D.Clinic medical center wishes you to be healthy and beautiful.
